Rula Harris Evans

Rula Harris Evans, 73, of Malad died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1993, in Salt Lake City, Utah, of heart failure. She was born April 5, 1920, in Malad, a daughter of Arch and Mae Jones Harris. She grew up and educated in Malad. Rula was a graduate of Malad High School and attended Weber Junior College, where she studied nursing. She married Keith E. Evans July 27, 1939 in Malad. Mrs. Evans lived and worked at various jobs in Malad, retiring from the U. S. Forest Service in 1977. She had worked there as a ranger clerk. She was an active member of the LDS Church and was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband Keith E. Evans, Malad; one son and wife, William K. and Paula Evans, of Salt Lake City, Utah; one daughter and husband, Tamara L. and Robert C. Leiser of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; four grandchildren; five sisters Millie Courtney, Orpha Hall. Katie Lewis, Bonnie Giles and Maisie Williams.

Funeral service were held Monday, November 22, 1993 at noon at the Malad LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 400 N. 200 W., under the direction of the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home. Burial was in the St. John Cemetery.
