Rosetta Hunt Byington

BLACKFOOT, IDAHO – Rosetta Hunt Byington, 97, former resident of Moreland and Blackfoot, died Tuesday at 5:10 p.m. (1963) at a rest home in Lava Hot Springs.

Born February 7, 1866, at Huntsville, Utah, a daughter of Hyrum and Emily Knowles Hunt. She came to Idaho as a young girl. She married Joseph Henry Byington June 10, 1882 at Arimo, Idaho. Marriage solemnized December 10, 1896 in Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died 1929.

Survivors: son and daughters, Lawrence Byington, Bishop, California; Mrs. Pearl Thompson, Porterville, California; Mrs. Lawrence (Ruby) Daniels, Lakewood, California and Mrs. Jewell Schnurr, Long Beach, California. 31 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; 100 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Saturday 10 a.m., Moreland Ward chapel. Friends may call at Howard Packham Mortuary in Blackfoot Friday and at the chapel before services. Burial, Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
