Services Today For Mrs. Yearsley
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Howell Yearsley, age 79, were conducted this morning (Thursday) at Cherry Creek LDS ward by Bishop Morgan D. Harris.
Mrs. Yearsley died Sunday (3 Dec 1961) at her home after a long illness. She was born Aug. 2, 1882, at Portage, Utah, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Jane Heaton Howell. She was married to James Heber Yearsley Nov. 10 1889, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died in 1943.
Surviving are five sons, Leslie, Gerald, Malad; Calvin, Downey; Clifton, Driggs; Larin, Pocatello; four daughters, Mrs. Ben (June) Harding, Moscow; Mrs. Royal (Maude) Jensen, Malad; Mrs. Mary John, Brigham City; Mrs. Carma Tuller, Okla,; 32 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a brother, James, Logan; sisters, Mrs. Ruby Lundberg; Mrs. Ida Harris, Mrs. Grace Baugh, Logan; Mrs. Mary Young, Brigham City; Mrs. Mildred Jenkins, Ogden; Mrs. Beth Thomas, Salt Lake City.
Prayer at the home was offered by Melvin Yearsley, and at the chapel, Dale Moon offered the invocation and Gordon Crowther, the benediction. Speakers were Leo Williams and Bishop Harris, who read the obituary. Musical numbers were vocal solos, Fred B. Baugh and Louis Yearsley; violin solo, Fern Willie; vocal duet, Ruby Howell and Maisie Williams; Emma Ward played the prelude and postlude and accompanists were Mrs. Ward and Grace Baugh.
Ben W. Harding offered the dedicatory prayer at the Portage Cemetery. Cherry Creek Relief Society arranged the flowers, assisted by granddaughters and………………
