POCATELLO – Rondell J. Reisner, 48, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2009, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Rondell was born May 15, 1960, in Downey, Idaho, being the 4th child of eight born to Norman and Barbara Reisner.
He was raised and educated in the Downey area, moving to Pocatello in his high school years. He loved camping, playing a good ball game, horseshoes, “Hell-raising”, fishing and hunting, especially hunting with his son Mason.
Rondell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He ran a successful contracting and drywall business, R & R Drywall. He was well-known for his skill and craftsmanship in his profession.
Rondell married Karla Palumbo in 1981, they later divorced. From this union was born a daughter, Barbara Jean.
He married Leitha Gayle Jackson in 2000. They were blessed with two children, Mason Norman and Kacee Mariah.
Rondell is survived by his wife Leitha, Pocatello, children Barbara Jean Reisner, Portland, Oregon, Mason Norman Reisner and Kacee Mariah Reisner, Pocatello; two grandchildren, Tyler Dean and Rylee Jade Reisner, Portland, Oregon; his parents Norman and Barbara Reisner, Pocatello; sister, Bonita Damewood, Eugene, Oregon; brother, Jerry (Debbie) Reisner, Riverside, Utah; brother, Pete (Toni) Reisner, Pocatello; sister, Lolly (Steve) Harris, Eugene, Oregon; sister, Marla (Rick) Young, Brigham City, Utah; sister Bobbi (Paul) Luker, Twin Falls, Idaho; best friend, Mike Weber of Pocatello, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one sister, Berdine Reisner.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at the Chubbuck LDS Stake Center, 450 James Avenue, Chubbuck, Idaho. Friends and family may call at a viewing Tuesday evening at the Chubbuck LDS Stake Center, 450 James Avenue, from 6 pm. to 8 p.m. as well as a viewing prior to the funeral from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral at the Arimo Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Horsley Funeral Home.
