Ronald Dee Parris

DOWNEY – Ronald Dee Parris, 55, former Downey resident, passed away early Tuesday, November 17, 1998, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born September 23, 1943, in Pocatello, Idaho, a son of Archie and Norma Denton Parris. He grew up and was educated in Downey, and attended Marsh Valley High School.
. He married Dianna Williams on August 24, 1962, in Malad, and they later divorced.
Ron had worked for 23 years with Albertson’s Food Stores as a truck driver. He had received many awards, including “Driver of the Year.” He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by four sons, Jeffery (Stephanie), Ronald Darin (Kathy), Bruce Edward and David Todd, all of Tooele, Utah; nine grandchildren; one sister, Joylene P. Hyde of Downey; five brothers, Howard (Evelyn) of Arizona, Archie “Buzzy” of Orofino, Idaho, Jerry (Arlene) of Chubbuck, William “Bill” (Jan) of Pocatello, and Kile of Orofino. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Opel, and one brother, Lyle. He was loved and will be missed by all.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 1998 in the Marsh Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Downey LDS Church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Arrangements are by Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home, Arimo.
