Ronald Cleon Dennis

Ronald Cleon Dennis passed away peacefully in his home on August 3, 2012. He was born September 12, 1932 to Thomas Julian and Beatrice “Anna” Weekes Dennis in Malad, ID. He was raised in St. John and Malad, ID.

He graduated from Malad High School and attended Idaho State College. Ron served hhis country in France during the Korean War. He married Wilorie Kay Dennis on June 24, 1957. She passed away June 6, 2005.

Ron tinkered on the farm from an early age, working on farm equipment, cars and such. He worked in Idaho Falls, ID at KIFI-TV while starting his new family and was employed at Thiokol Corp. in Promontory, UT. A career with the Massey Ferguson dealership in Tremonton, UT went on for 20+ years, an endeavor in which he was much in demand, both in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho.

He continued to service the farming and ranching communities while employed at Buttars Tractor until his retirement. Even with retirement, Dad’s work was not done. A faithful companion throughout their marriage, he took care of Mom during the years she needed him most. Ever the caretaker of family, friends, neighbors and community, Dad, along with our sister, Ann, and family members, oversaw the care of his sisters in their later years.

With Ron’s work on earth done, our father moved on to his next task. Ron you’re proof, there is good in the world.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings and spouses.

He is survived by his children Floyd (Cindy) Dennis; Tommy Dennis, Marvin Dennis and Ann Dennis, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held August 9, 2012 at the Tremonton South Stake Center. Viewings will be held at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, Tremonton, UT.
