Roma Kingsford Facer

Roma Kingsford Facer, 84, separated from this life on April 12, 2014, with family and friends at her side in Malad, Idaho. Roma was born October 14, 1929 to Orrel C. Kingsford and Avilda Obray in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a graduate of South High School and graduated from Beauty School. She moved to Malad, Idaho and there met her husband Lyde Facer. They were married on January 7, 1949. Roma was the mother of seven children, Stephen (wife Susan), Annette, Pamela (husband Monte), Elisabeth and William (wife Darci). She had two miscarriages that she considered her fourth and fifth children. She has fifteen grandchildren and currently twenty-two great-grandchildren (three more in the oven).
Roma is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During her life, she served in many callings to include Relief Society and Primary Presidents but her choicest callings were Primary Chorister and serving in the Logan Temple. Not one day went by that Roma was not testifying of her love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ either vocally or by example. She worked as a beautician for over thirty-five years.
Roma is preceded in death by her husband Lyde; parents Orrel, Avilda and Maude, sisters Doy and Kathy, great-granddaughter Kathryn and hundreds of her former honey hairdo ladies (clients). What a beautiful reunion she must be having with those who have previously passed on. She is survived by two sisters, Clarice and Karen, her children and grandchildren.
For twelve years Roma was a resident of the Oneida County Nursing Home. Although Roma seldom left the Malad Valley, her influence and testimony was shared worldwide through the examples and witnesses of her posterity.
Mother, you will be greatly missed. You have been an inspiration to us all. The love and excitement you have shown for people and life will be emulated by all who knew you. You bravely and quietly endured physical pain and inability to communicate for many years showing us great strength. Thank you for the life you have lived and the great example you have been. We love you forever.
