Rolene Winifred Jones Gleed

MALAD CITY- Rolene Jones Gleed, 68, of Malad, Idaho, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.

Rolene was born December 10, 1947, to Thomas Rowland “Rollie” and Hazel Brookes Rose Jones, in Malad, Idaho. She was raised in Malad and attended Malad Schools, graduating from Malad High School in 1966.

She lived in Salt Lake City for a while, working in the Offices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Rolene married Neal Henry Gleed on September 18, 1970, in the Logan LDS Temple in Logan, Utah. They spent the first several years of their marriage running the Gleed family farm in Deep Creek. They had three children together. Her lifelong dream was to become a nurse. She attended ISU, and Regents College, earning her LPN in 1993 and RN in 1999. She loved being a nurse, and helping the many people whom she came into contact with throughout the course of her job.

Rolene is survived by her children. Rowland (Julie) Gleed of Seguin, Texas, Gillaire Gleed of Logan, Utah, and Cherhys (Shane) Hubbard of Grace, Idaho. She is also survived by four granddaughters, and a sister Glenna Dean Illum. Rolene was preceded in death by her husband Neal, her parents Rollie and Hazel Jones, two brothers Marvin and Kaydell Jensen, and sister Var C’Roberts. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 20 S. 100 W. Friends may visit with the family at the Horsley Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 and on Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 prior to the funeral.
