Roger Keith Budge

Roger Keith Budge, 54, passed away Thursday, October 2, 1997, at his home due to heart failure.
Roger was born Jan. 15, 1943 in Malad, Idaho to T. Morgan Budge and Ruth Dredge Budge. He was reared in Pocatello, and graduated from Pocatello high School in 1961.
On November 30, 1962 he married Sheryl Taylor, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Roger worked as a builder, developer, realtor and dealer for Boise Cascade Homes in Idaho for 15 years. He also worked in Mesa, Arizona, for eight years with Farnsworth Construction and Tony Court Buick. At the time of his death he was part owner of Ashley Manor Care Alzheimer Centers in Boise.
He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in several callings, including bishopric counselor, elder’s quorum presidency counselor, high counselor and bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Budge, of Boise; his mother, Ruth Swanson and stepfather, Merle Swanson, of Mesa, Arizona; stepmother, Erlene Ricks Budge of Idaho Falls; his three sons, R. Scott of Houston, Texas, Steven T. of Gilbert, Ariz., and Jeff D. of Tempe, Ariz.; five daughters, Jennilyn Preece of Boise, Angi Peterson of Mesa, Ariz., Melissa, Cynthia and Stephanie, who reside with their mother in Boise; his brothers, M. Paul of Mesa, Ariz., and T. Mark of Bend, Ore.; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
Roger enjoyed many outdoor activities, including snowmobiling, camping, fishing and hunting. He was very dedicated to his family, and supported all of is children in all of their activities.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at the LDS Stake Center, Shamrock and McMillan Road, Boise. Family and friends will be received from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at the Relyea Funeral chapel in Boise, and from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the church prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Dry Creek Cemetery.
