McCammon, Idaho Robert (Bob) Joe Larsen, 84, longtime McCammon resident passed away on Monday, April 30th, 2018 at his home with his loving wife and family at his bedside. Bob was born on January 29th, 1934 in McCammon, Idaho a son of Walt and Maude (Wilson) Larsen. He was raised in McCammon and was a graduate of North Marsh High School, class of 1952. He married Vonna Burnham on December 27th, 1952. With the help of his father, he built his lifelong home in McCammon. It was there that he raised his four children. Bob had many different occupations. He was a carpenter, worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, and Zweigart’s Meat Packing Plant but the job he loved the most was being a farmer and rancher. He loved his cows and took pleasure hearing about this year’s calves in his final days. He loved the McCammon Valley and community. He had a quick smile and always a story to tell. He was a kind and giving man and will be missed by all that knew him. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vonna. His 4 children; Michelle (Michael) Stoddart of McCammon, Idaho; Kevin Larsen of Soda Springs, Idaho; Paula (Michael) Yackley of Spokane, Washington; and Aaron Larsen of McCammon, Idaho. 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother. There will be a Viewing on Monday, May 7th from 9:30-10:30 at the McCammon Ward Stakehouse 403 W 16th Street followed by a Graveside Service at the Norton Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a luncheon served at the McCammon Ward Stake house. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your favorite charity
