Funeral Services For Robert Ashton

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the stake tabernacle for Robert Ashton, 45, of Woodruff, who died Wednesday (1 July 1942) of electric shock. Bishop Ellis Harris presided at the services.

Musical numbers consisted of a vocal duet by Guy Gleed and L. G. Corbridge; vocal duet by Mildred Jenkins and Mrs. Ruby Lundberg and a song by Stillman Harris. Speakers were Bishop Benjamin Lundberg, Joseph Dudley and D. Zundel. The invocation and benediction were offered by Ar??, Michie and Lawrence Mills respectively.

The grave was dedicated by Cyrus Gibbs and burial was in the Portage cemetery.

Mr. Ashton is survived by his wife and son Billy and the following brothers and sisters: Lt. L. Ashton of Salt Lake City; John Ashton of Pocatello; Joseph Ashton of Pocatello; Warren Ashton, Walter Ashton, Mrs. Brigham Jones, Mrs. Minnie John, Mrs. Della Fredrickson and Mrs. Merle McAllister all of Malad.
