Richard Perry Edwards

Richard Perry Edwards, 52, of Ogden, formerly of Blackfoot, ID, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1980 in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City.

He was born September 10, 1928 in Ogden, a son of John Harlan and Opan Brauer Edwards.

He was married to Virginia Mae Stevenson on May 23, 1949. They were later divorced. He was married to Nancy Jo Clifford on September 22, 1970. They were later divorced.

He served four years in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He graduated from Weber State College, cum laude, with a bachelor degree in psychology in 1976.

He was a member of Psi Chi national Honor Society of American Psychological Assn. and member of Phil Kappa Phi National Honor Society.

Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Hal Richard Edwards and Dale Evan Edwards, Ogden; Mrs. Kim (Geri) Keele, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Juan (Dawn) Ortiz, and Natasha Edwards, Ogden; two grandchildren.

Also surviving are his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huntsman, Ogden; one sister, Mrs. William (Doris) Hanks, Huntsville,

A memorial service was held at the First Christian Church.
