MALAD – Richard L. “Blue” Anderson, 55 passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, of apparent heart failure.

He was born Dec. 21, 1943, in Ogden, Utah, a son of Lawrence Darrel and Mildred Matthias Anderson. He was raised in Ogden and had lived in Liberty, Utah, Shelley and Malad.

He served four years in the U.S. AirForce.

He married Melody Holmgren in 1968, and they divorced in 1987. He later married Cheryl Kennison. They divorced in 1996.

Blue had worked for the Utah Power and Light Co. Since 1960 and was currently stationed in Malad. Blue loved the outdoors and enjoyed nature to the fullest.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his son, Brandon Lee Anderson, Ogden, Utah; his daughter, Lisia Linn (Oscar) Contreras, Layton, Utah; sisters, Gwynne (Fred) Schwartz; Larene (Calvin) Davies an Connie (Dallas) Simpson; a brother, Blaine (Deannie) Anderson.

Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N, Malad, tonight, Jan. 11, 1998, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. in Ogden Utah, at the Lindquist Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., where friends may ? On Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ? will be in the Ogden City Cemetery.
