Malad….Randie Clee Jones, 55, of Malad, passed away in Boise, Idaho on August 21, 2009 of cancer. He was born November 20, 1953 at Edwards Air Force base in California, a son of Cleland A. and Neva Viola Ward Jones.

Randie attended school at Sunset, Utah and West Chester, California. He loved sports, played catcher in baseball, and also played football. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He served his country in the U.S Army and was honorably discharged in 1977.

He married Karen Ross and they were later divorced. He later married Susan Reed and they have been separated the past several years. Randie was a very talented carpenter and had worked on several jobs in various locations.

He is survived by his parents of Cherry Creek (near Malad); 2 sons; Jessie Jones of Ogden, Utah and Eli Jones of Malad. 1 sister Marilyn Jones of California. Also, surviving is his girlfriend, Louise Price of Malad.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N., with Bishop Rex Lundquist, officiating. Friends may visit with the Jones family on Thursday prior to the service from 10:00-11:45 am.

Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery, with military rites.
