FUNERAL SERVICES MONDAY FOR MRS. HOMER VAUGHN

Funeral services for Mrs. Homer Vaughn of Independence, Missouri, were held at the stake Tabernacle Monday at 2 o’clock with Wm. P Jones officiating.

The opening prayer was by Wm P. Jones. A vocal duet “My Cross I’ll Carry” was given by Elder ant Mrs. Ward L. Christy; remarks by E. E. Richards: a vocal solo “Crossing the Bar” by Dean Williams Elder Ward L. Christy of Ogden delivered the sermon, after which Mrs. Margaret E. Jones sang “The Bird with a Broken Pinion.” the benediction was by E. E. Richards.

Interment was in the Malad cemetery. Elder Christy dedicated the grave.

The Royal Neighbors of Malad were flower bearers.

Mrs. Vaughn, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Daniels of Lava Idaho, was born at Malad on November 8, 1896. She passed away at her home in Independence, Missouri, on Thursday, March 7.

Surviving are her husband, Homer Vaughn and two children, Clair age 20 and Donna, age 14, of Independence, Missouri; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Daniels of Lava; one brother Laurence Daniels, Long Beach. California; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Thomas of Long Beach, California; Mrs. N. H. Arave of Monrovia, California, and Mrs. James H. Stageman of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
