Quentin Hunsaker Allen

Quentin Hunsaker Allen, Age 79, of Tremonton, Utah, passed away Thursday, March 7, in the Box Elder County Nursing Home in Tremonton of pneumonia. He was born October 23, 1905, in Honeyville, Utah, to John Robert and Helen Elizah Hunsaker Allen.

He married Idella Wood in 1925 and they were later divorced. He married Yolanda Baker on February 26, 1949, in Oakland, California. He was a life-long resident of Tremonton, except for living in an Ogden nursing home following a stroke in 1973. He was later moved to the Tremonton Nursing Home in 1981.

Reared and educated in Tremonton, he was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a member of the Box Elder County Nursing Home Branch. He served an LDS Southern States Mission in 1924 and had been Sunday School Superintendent and a home teacher.

He was a co-owner of Allen Brothers Farms Sheep Ranch and a member of the Northern Utah Farm Bureau. He worked for Drapper Egg Company, serving Box Elder and Oneida Counties. He was a former member of the Logan Elks.

Survivors include his wife of Ogden and four daughters: Mrs. Ace (Donna) Bybee, Preston, Idaho; Mrs. Brent (Alisia) Moon, Fielding, Utah; Mrs. (Jacqueline) Call, Waldport, Oregon; Mrs. (Patti) Peterson, Ogden, Utah, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. (Nadiene) Vance, Tremonton, Utah, and Mrs. Elmer (Lola) Winzeler, Tremonton, Utah.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 9, at 12 noon at Rogers Mortuary in Tremonton, with President James G. Edwards officiating.

Interment was in the Honeyville Cemetery.
