Presciliano Bonilla

Presciliano Bonilla, 90, 711 N. Sixth Ave., died Thursday, Jan 11, 1996 at a local nursing home following an illness.

He was born July 11, 1905 in Zacatecau, Mexico, the son of Presciliano and Juana Trujillo Bonilla. He married Maria Aldana in January of 1967 in Pocatello.

He worked in maintenance for the Union Pacific Railroad, and retired years ago. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Surviving him are his wife, Maria, at the home in Pocatello; children, Connie Gonzales, Amelia Sanchez and Linda Bonilla, Scotts Bluff, Neb., Adeline Mason, Carmichael, Calif., and Anita Chaffee, Fredricksburg, Virginia; 38 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 13, 11 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with Father Dennis Wassmuth, celebrant. Vigil service with viewing will be tonight at 7 p.m. at Downard-Hansen Funeral Home, 241 N. Garfield Ave. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery.
