Phyllis Rea Myers Capell, 83, passed away on July 13 2014, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Rea was born April 27, 1931 to Joseph and Phyllis Myers, Arimo, Idaho. She graduated from Arimo High School, earning many awards for her sewing. She married Paul Lorenzo Capell on September 7, 1949, in the Salt Lake City Temple. After several moves she settled with her husband and the first five of her seven children in Orem Utah. She worked at Brigham Young University, where she cooked for the students in the dorm. She enjoyed working at the Cannon Cafeteria getting to know many of the student workers. She retired after twenty plus years. She then moved back home to Idaho. She spent the last 15 years, in Pocatello, enjoying her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crocheting. The family would like to thank Cree and Shaylynn from Encompass Home Health for all their loving care of our mother! She is survived by her children Bruce (Dott) Capell of Lehi, Utah, Pauline (Shorty) Terry of McCammon, Idaho, LaRita Remark of Pocatello, Idaho, Sherline Capell of Long Beach, Washington, LaRae (Bruce) Stevenson of Santaquin, Utah, Derrin Capell of Lehi, Utah and one cousin who was more like a sister Lillie Croney, Pocatello, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Capell, and son Kevin Capell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 12 noon in the McCammon LDS Stake Center. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the church and again on Saturday morning from 10:30-11:45 am prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Robin Cemetery.
