Pharen M. Apgood

Pharen M. Apgood, age 90, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on October 17, 2006.

Pharen was born October 19, 1915 to Frank and Sarah Apgood in Malad, Idaho. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Idaho. He then worked for the courthouse in Malad. In 1942 he married Ella Owens, before entering the armed services, where he served in the United States Air Force for the next four years.

Dad was a willing, capable and friendly leader. During his 35 years in the work area he was a credit manager in the wholesale furniture and carpet industry. He was a member of the Intermountain Creditmans Association during this time. His love was to talk to anyone he came in contact with and loved small children. He was a great supporter to his sons and their families and watching his small family grow large.

He is survived by his loving and care giving wife; sons, Timothy (Nora) Apgood; grandchildren, Gregory (Debbie) Apgood; Brett (Shanette) Apgood; and Michelle (Brandon) Danielson; great-grandchildren, KD, Alizabeth, Bryce, Rebecca, Brett J. (BJ) and Kassadee Apgood; Emma and Grace Danielson; sister, Gerane Apgood; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a son, Garn; his parents, brothers Dudley, Delwyn, Ned, Wendzel, Ivan Apgood; and sister, Duluth Allen.

The family would like to thank Dr. Matthew Hansen and Legacy Healthcare for all the warmth and kindness shown to Dad and Mom.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr., where family and friends may call Friday, October 20 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services.
