Percy B. Williams


PERCY B. WILLIAMS PLEASANT VIEW – Percy B. Williams, 58, of 3816 N. 900 W., died Tuesday, Aug. 18,1987 in an Evanston, Wyo., hospital of causes sustained in an accident.
He was born July 28, 1929, in Malad, Idaho, a son of Edward G. and Martha Blaisdell Williams.
On Oct. 11, 1950, he married Kenna Fredrickson in Malad, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
He had served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a school teacher at North Ogden Junior High School and had formerly taught at Wahlquist School.
He was an elder in the Pleasant View 5th LDS Ward where he had served as scoutmaster, home teacher, member of the Scout Troop Committee and a merit badge counselor. He was a member of the UEA, NEA, WEA.
He was an avid horseman, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had formerly been an advisor to the Pleasant View Junior Posse.
He had lived in Presidio, Calif., Logan and Ogden prior to moving to Pleasant View.
Surviving are his widow of Pleasant View, two sons and one daughter, Percy Craig Williams, North Ogden, Michael Kenneth Williams, Pleasant View; Mrs. Kelly G. (Jill) Read, Harrisville; seven grandchildren.
Also surviving are five brothers and two sisters, Dee E. Williams, Glen B. Williams, S. Claude Williams, Mrs. Fay Caldwell, Mrs. Joseph (June) Jones, all of Malad, Idaho; D, Thayne Williams, Arbon Valley, Idaho; Leon Williams, Darlington, Idaho. He was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services were Saturday at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden with Bishop Robert Burton of the Pleasant View 5th LDS Ward officiating.
Interment in the Washington Heights
Memorial Park.
