Swan Lake….Orin W. Hatch, 82, husband of Gwen Cottam Hatch, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday February 11, 2012 surrounded by his beloved family. Orin was born in Oxford, Idaho October 1, 1929, a son of Thompson and Marie Lillian Wayment Hatch. He married Gwenivere “Gwen” Cottam on November 1, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 25, 1952. Orin and Gwen were blessed with three children. He worked at jobs in Blackfoot, Idaho and Roy ,Utah . For the past 30 years he and Gwen have lived in Swan Lake, where he has farmed the land, a job he has loved doing through the years. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years. 2 sons; Warren C. Hatch of Syracuse, Utah and Allen C. (Susan) Hatch of Oxford, Idaho. A daughter; Alice (Merrill) Jones of Pocatello. He and Gwen also have 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Orin was one of 4 children. Also survivng are 1 sister; Arlene (Delbert) Holden of Caldwell, Idaho and 1 brother; Steven (Darla) Hatch of Plain City, Utah. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother; Keith W. Hatch. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 15, 2012 at 12 noon in the Swan Lake LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the Hatch family on Tuesday evening (February 14) from 7-8 pm at the church and on Wednesday prior to services from 10:30-11:30 am. Burial with military honors will be held in the Oxford Cemetery.
