Odell B. Cutler

He was born May 20, 1923 in Holbrook, Idaho. The son of Newel James and Floy Ivy Bingham Cutler.
He graduated from Malad High School. He served in the Army Air Corp in World War 11. After the war, he served an LDS Mission in California and later in 2001 a CES Mission.
In 1949 he married Ellen Kent in the Logan Temple. He graduated from BYU in 1953 and furthered his education at Washington University earning his D.D.S. degree. He practiced dentistry in Sunset for 37 years.
He was twice called to serve as Bishop for the LDS Church, presiding over the East St. Louis Ward and the Sunset 5th Ward. He was called as first counselor in the Sunset Stake Presidency and later served as Patriarch.
In public life, he served on the Sunset City Planning Commission and was active in the Lion’s Club and the Dental Society.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen and five daughters: Christine (Neil) Carrigan of Morgan, Ut; Annette (Jay) Seaver of Longmont, CO; Karen (Clarke) Rice, Billings, MT; Lynne Lindley of St. George, Ut; Laurie Cutler of Sunset, UT. and one son, Dr. Keven (Leslie) Cutler of Des Moines, IA; 32 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Sunset 5th Ward Chapel, 2431 North 250 West, Sunset. Friends may call Wednesday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
