Nefton Albiston

Nefton Albiston, 87, died Thursday, Mach 6, 1997 at Portneuf Valley Rehabilitation Center in Pocatello, Idaho.

She was born April 17, 1909 in Vernal, Utah, a daughter of Joseph Oren and Amy Rosetta Workman Griffin.

She married Thomas Henry Peterson on February 6, 1928 in Roosevelt, Utah. He died in November of 1946. She married Miriend B. Albiston on January 2, 1948 in Ogden. They were later divorced.

She was raised and educated in Roosevelt moving to Ogden in January of 1947. She lived in Ogden until moving to Malad, Idaho in 1995.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

She loved crocheting and spending time with her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Sally and Nate Wharton, Malad, Idaho; Bobbie and Kent Butters, Layton; one son, Kelly and Carol Albiston, Park City; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one sister, Lois Stevenson, Berkeley, Calif.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Pat and J.O. Peterson, one grandson, two brothers and three sisters.

A gathering will be held at Bobbie’s home, 766 East 525 South in Layton on Sunday, beginning at 3 p.m.

Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Crematory.

Interment, Neola Utah Cemetery on Monday at 1 p.m.
