Nancy Idelia Tims Archibald

MALAD – Nancy Tims Archibald, 89, 236 West 300 North, died Friday (20 May 1982) in the Oneida County Nursing Home.

She was born September 15, 1892, in Portage, Utah, to Thomas Marshall and Sarah Jane Howell Tims. She was reared and educated in the Portage area. She married Albert Steward Archibald October 26, 1910, in Logan, Utah. Mr. Archibald died November 20, 1954. After her marriage she lived a short time in Plymouth, Utah, and then moved to Pocatello Valley, where she lived for 21 years. They moved to Pleasantview, and then to Malad, where she lived the rest of her life. She was active in the LDS Church, was a primary and Sunday school teacher all the years of her life. She was a regular visitor at the temple and served as a visiting teacher.

She is survived by four sons: Reed Archibald, Carleton, Ore.; Wayne Archibald, Malad; Elden Archibald, Malad; Boyce Tims Archibald, Longmont, Col.; seven daughters: Mrs. Ruby Waldron, North Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. Priscilla Abbott, Malad; Mrs. Jessie John, Samaria; Mrs. John O. (Katie) Abbott, Malad; Mrs. George (Sarah) Bush, Malad; Mrs. Lyman (Ruth) Ipsen, Pleasantview; Mrs. Leona Wakley, Downey; 53 grandchildren; 178 great-grandchildren; 51 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at noon at the Malad LDS Stake Center with Bishop Garth Sweeten officiating.

Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
