Services Today For N. F. Vanover

Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at the Malad First Ward for N. F. Vanover, 52, who died Sunday, November 10, at Ukiah, Calif, of pneumonia. Bishop G. Howard Neal officiated.

Prayer at the home was offered by Dick Crandall. Prelude and postlude music was played by Mae Williams. Speakers were Bishop Neal, who gave the obituary; Joe Isaacson and Junius Crowther. Roy Thomas offered the invocation and Neal Crowther, the benediction. Mrs. Fern Willie played a violin solo and Leora Brown and Louis Yearsley sang solos. Mary Rose Jones read an original poem. Darrell Swartz dedicated, the grave.

Flowers were supervised by the ‘Third Ward Relief Society.

Casket bearers were Ren Dives, Lorenzo Jones, Dan Williams, Fay Jones, Tom Parry and Lester C. Jones.

Burial was in the Malad Ceme­tery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

Neville Frank Vanover was born Jan. 26, 1905, at Joplin, Mo., a son of John William and Kate Greynor Vanover. He married Fern Jones at Malad on Feb. 28, 1929.

An Elder In the L.D.S. Church, he was a gold miner in Colorado, Nevada and California and worked as a welder and blacksmith here for several years. He moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1954 and, after two years, went to Ukiah, California.

Surviving are his widow; two sons and three daughters, Neville Frank. Jr., Logan; Donald George and Mrs. Thayne (Mary Jane) Waldron, Ukiah; Mrs. Douglas (Connie) Eager, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Gene (Danna) Bybee, Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren, a brother and three sisters: Cullen Vanover, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Robert (Delia) Arnold, Mrs. Myron (Myrtle) Vail, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Charlie (Agnes) Davis, Gallup, Mew Mexico.
