Mildred Neal Campbell

Lava Hot Springs- Mildred Neal Campbell, 94 passed away Wednesday October 13, 2010 (1 day before her 95th birthday) with her daughter and nephew at her side. Mildred was born in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho on October14, 1915. She is the daughter of Dwight & Anna Neal. She was raised and went to school in Kansas and later moved back to Lava and graduated from high school. Mildred married Francis J. McGuinn. They had one daughter together, Barbara Ann. They later divorced and she then married Charles Campbell. They had 2 daughters together, Stella Katheryn and Bonnie Mae. Mildred worked as a nurses aid for five years in Salt Lake City, but later quit work to return to Lava to raise her 3 granddaughters because her daughter Kathryn passed away. Mother had a unique sense of humor that was enjoyed by many, and was known for her caring ways. Throughout life mother was a spiritual person and always trusted that God would lead the way. Mildred is survived by her daughter Barbara Medina (Salt Lake City, Utah), her sister Theda Rose Reeves (Wichita, KS), 8 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband Charles and her daughters, Stella Katherine and Bonnie Mae. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lava Hot Springs Community Church, 118 W. Elm St. Friends may visit with the family from 10-10:30a.m prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
