Melvin Wayne Carter, 58, of Stone, Idaho, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2001, in the Oneida County Hospital.
He was born August 22, 1942, in Stone. He grew up and was educated in Stone and Malad. Wayne spent his life ranching, farming and mostly trading cattle. He loved the outdoors and his horses.
Wayne is survived by his four children: Diane (Ron Dell) Skidmore, Stone; Dennis (Jackie) Carter, Stone; Doug (Cheryl) Carter, Fort Hall; Deniece (Matt) Tubbs, Malad; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Gary Carter, Elwood, Utah; and one sister, Terry, Buhl, Idaho.
He was preceded in Death by his mother, Nina V. Carter, Draper, Utah.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, in the Curlew LDS Ward Chapel in Snowville, Utah. Burial was in the Snowville Cemetery.
