Max Augustus Valentine, age 57, died Nov. 18th at Marsh Valley Hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services were conducted at Downey Tuesday and burial was in Downey City Cemetery, directed by Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Valentine was a barber. He was a veteran of World War II and a former Downey city councilman. He married Beth Sasser of Holbrook Feb. 15, 1938, in the Logan LDS Temple.

Survivors include his widow; sons, Lee M., Boise; Mark R., Kim, Downey; two grandchildren and two sisters.
