FORMER- MALAD GIRL –DIES AT OGDEN
Last Friday morning Mrs. Mary Ward died at the Dee hospital at Ogden. Just one week before that day, Mrs. Ward met with an accident, while with her husband on a motorcycle. It was believed at the time that she was not seriously injured, but Thursday she was taken to the hospital and died the following morning from blood poisoning.
Mrs. Ward was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elias Morris of this city, and the wife of Frank Ward of Ogden. She was twenty-two years and eleven months as and was the mother of three children. It was in our school here that she received her education, and practically all of her life was spent in Malad and Samaria. Just a few years ago she and her husband moved to Sugar City, where they stayed for some time before they went to Ogden, where they have since made their home. Three weeks ago she returned from Malad to her home in Ogden after an extended visit here with her parents and her husband’s folks. Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Thompson,
When word was received of her sudden death, the entire community was shocked, for she was well known by practically everyone, and all who knew her loved her.
The sympathy of everyone goes out to her parents and husband who have been called upon to pass thru this ordeal.
Very impressive funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the fifth ward meeting house In Ogden. Bishop Ure took charge of the meeting. The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. A large cortege followed the remains to the cemetery.

Besides these there were a host of friends and relatives from Brigham, Preston, Ogden, Salt Lake.
