Mary May John Williams

Mary May John Williams, 87, of Malad, died Monday, April 17, in Layton, Utah, at the home of her daughter.
She was born May 4, 1901, at the family ranch, south of Malad, to William Lloyd and Mary Ann Edwards John. She was raised and educated in Samaria.
She married William Jenkin Williams February 26, 1921 in Malad. He died June 5. 1963. For many years she and her husband lived in Ogden, Utah; and a short time in Roy and Clearfield, Utah. She returned to Malad following her retirement
She is survived by one son, Jay Williams, Santa Maria. California: three daughters, Mrs. Florabell Furgeson, Malad; Mrs. Tom (Lila) Crookston, Sandy, Utah; Mrs. LeRoy (Joy) Waggoner, Layton, Utah; 15 grandchildren; 20great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Esther Williams, Malad; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Thursday in the Samaria Cemetery. In accordance with Mary’s wishes, there was no public visitation. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, Malad.
