Mary Denee Jones

Mary Denee Jones, 76, of Malad, died Wednesday, November 10, 1993 in the Pocatello Regional Medical Center. She was born June 24, 1917 in Malad, a daughter of Lyman D. and Sarah Mabel Evans Jones.

She grew up and was educated in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School. As a young woman she began employment with the Governor’s Office in Boise, where she worked for several years.

She worked for Mountain States Telephone Company in Ogden for many years. While living there, she received her Beautician’s Certificate. Since retiring, she has lived in Malad. Miss Jones was a member of the Oneida County Hospital Pink Ladies and also the Presbyterian Ladies.

She is survived by one brother, Tom Jones, of Oroville, California; and three sisters, Alyce Jones and Jeane Jones of Reno; and Dawn Abbott of Sun Lakes, Arizona; and an aunt, Iris Brewerton, Vancouver, British Columbia. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 15 at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
