Mary Bernice King Griffiths

Mary Bernice King Griffiths 85 passed away Feb. 15, 1998, at her sons home,

She was born May 4, 1912, in north Logan, Utah to Andrew Lewis and Mary Ann Bodrero King.

After attending the Utah State University, she taught elementary school for several years in Richmond.

She met her sweetheart High Darrell Griffiths at Utah State and they were married Dec. 17, 1937, in the LDS Temple in Logan. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1993.

Bernice loved reading and always a teacher, she taught her children and each of her grandchildren to read and to love good books. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing board games.

She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many positions. By her example she taught all of her family the great lessons of love, faith, integrity and service.

Bernice is survived by one brother, Calvin B. King; her five children, Roy D., Rex K., Brent H., Maryann Liljenquist and Gary K.; 31 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren that all call her “blessed” for the legacy she gave to us.

Funeral services Sat. Feb. 21, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the S. Cottonwood 2nd Ward 980 E. Revere Circle (North off 5600 S.) Friends may call Fri. 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S. State St. And Sat. 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment Logan City Cemetery.
