Mary Barbara Davis Morris

Mary Barbara Davis Morris was born February 27, 1927 in Westport, CA to Roy E. Davis and Lois Davis (nee Wilkinson). She died November 4, 2015 in Logan, UT. She was raised in rural Humboldt County, CA. She married Robert Leo Morris in 1946 and raised six children in Hydesville, CA. The family relocated to Oroville, CA in 1964 and later moved to the Baker City area of Oregon in 1990. Following the death of her husband in 1996, she returned to Eureka, CA for the next few years and finally came to live with her son Tim and his wife (Debbie) finding “the best place in the whole world” in the Swan Lake, ID area. She loved hiking in the mountains of Cottonwood Creek. She is survived by her sister, Louise Mathison Sutton (George) of Taneytown, MD and a brother, Glenn Davis (Myrna) of Alhambra, CA; her children Lois Bozarth (Wayne) of Port Angeles, WA, Alice Dearing from Dade City, FL, Robert E. Morris (Lanie) from Blocksburg, CA, Timothy Morris (Debbie) of Malad City, ID, Thomas Morris of Hermiston, OR, Theodore Morris (Diana) from Fort Lupton, CO. She was also grandmother of thirteen and great-grandmother of 31 with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, one grandson Jared and a great-granddaughter Mikaila. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Surgical Unit, the Transitional Care Unit and Hospice at Logan Regional Hospital for all their support. The family would also like to thank the staff at Whispering Pines assisted living in Downey, ID where Mary lived for the past year of her life.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 9 at 12 noon in the Swan Lake LDS Church. Friends may visit with the family Monday morning from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Swan Lake Cemetery.
