Mary Ann Parry Ipsen

Mary Ann Parry Ipsen, 92, long time Pleasantview resident, died Sunday, April 12, 1992, in the Oneida County Nursing Home.
She was born February 12, 1900, in Malad at the family home, a daughter of Thomas and Sarah Hannah Colton Parry. She grew up and attended school in Malad, and was a graduate of Malad High School. She married Lyman James Ipsen November 11 1920, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. After their marriage, they lived in Pleasantview, where they farmed and ranched for many years. Mr. Ipsen died August 6, 1960.
She had been an active member of the LDS Church, and had served as president of the Relief Society, librarian, organist, teacher in various organizations, counselor in the YWMIA, and a visiting teacher.
She is survived by one son, Lyman Ipsen Junior and daughter-in-law, Thelma Ipsen, both of Malad; 12 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, one grandchild, on great-grandchild, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 17 at noon in the Malad LDS Second Ward Chapel, with Bishop Rex Robbins officiating. Burial was in the Pleasantview Cemetery.
