Mark Joseph Dennis

Mark Joseph Dennis, 50, of Sumner, Washington, was killed September 18, 1996 on a job related accident.

Mark was born December 14, 1945, in Hartford, Connecticut. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mark is survived by two sons: Joseph Mark Dennis of Kent, Washington, and Mark Dennis, Jr., of Sumner, Washington; parents, Joseph and Helen Dennis of Malad; brother, Chris and wife, Cheryl; sister, Sharon and husband, Andy.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 21 at Washington Memorial Park in Seattle, Washington. It was a military service with the American Flag presented to Ms. Dennis at the gravesite. Mark was buried next to his maternal grandfather, Joseph J. Satula.

Mark was extremely well known and loved in the construction industry, not only for his job expertise, but for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to always make people laugh.

Joe and Helen were overwhelmed at the outpouring of respect and love shown to their son at his funeral. Hundreds of people from the industry filled the chapel to capacity and then some. The company Mark worked for set up the “Mark Dennis Memorial Fund” with Seafirst Bank to show respect and to help defray funeral expenses, with the remainder going to sons, Joseph and Mark.
