Marjorie Ruth Thomas Archibald

MALAD – Marjorie Ruth Thomas Archibald, 71, of Moab, Utah, and former Malad resident, died Friday (28 July 1988) in Grand Junction, Colorado.

She was born December 19, 1917, in Malad to Emmett Hillery and Martha Jones Thomas. She was reared and educated in Malad and graduated from Malad High School.

She married Bruce Archibald in Malad. Following their marriage, they lived in California, moving back to the Malad area. In 1955, they moved to Moab, where they have since resided.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Malad. She taught Sunday school and was a camp leader.

She is survived by her husband of Moab, one son, Devon Archibald, Antoich, California; one daughter, Tonya Limas, Moab; two grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Frank, Harold and Dallas Thomas, Wilorie Lewis and Mrs. Floyd (Nell) Hess, all of Malad, and June Wilson, Bountiful, Utah. She was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Archibald.

Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, July 26, 1988, at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home with the Reverend Norm Naugler officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
