MarJean Ware Wilson

MarJean Ware Wilson, 78, of Downey, Idaho passed away July 18,2015 at home in Downey, Idaho of natural causes. MarJean was born November 26, 1936 in Pocatello, Idaho to Leonard John Ware and Effie Coffin. MarJean was raised in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, attended school there and then graduated from the new High School in Arimo, Idaho. In her youth MarJean enjoyed swimming and going to the movies with her younger sisters Marilyn and Diane. She was always excited and thouroughly MarJean delivered newspapers with her Scooter and also was employed by the Silver Grill Café. A handsome young man by the name of Clarence Devon Wilson entered her life and soon they were happily engaged, then married and sealed for time and eternity on September 24, 1954 in the Logan, Utah temple. Clarence then joined the Air Force, resulting in their living in several different locations. After serving in the Air Force, MarJean and Clarence settled into raising their family, eventually moving to Downey, Idaho in 1966, they raised their eight children and stayed in this community. MarJean was a wonderful seamstress, with many Downey residents using her talents as a seamstress, to alter and make clothing for them. Flowers and cooking were also enjoyed by MarJean. She knew the importance of cooking and made sure her six sons and two daughters were all very talented cooks. With eight children, MarJean helped teach them the importance of work and service, by having them help those that needed their help. Family History and Genealogy were very important to MarJean and she was contacted often and used as a source by her family and others. Being a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served as Relief Society President and in many other capacities. MarJean was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Effie Ware, brother Dean Ware and son Kenneth Wilson. She is survived by her two sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Yearsley of Pocatello, Idaho, Diane (Roland) Anderson of Grace, Idaho, husband Clarence Wilson, her children, son Daniel (Robin) Wilson of Downey, son Wayne (ShaRon) Wilson of Preston, Idaho, daughter Ladene (Kelly) Fly of Downey, son Brent (DeAnn) Wilson of Preston, Idaho, son Brian (Kelley) Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri, son Bruce (Audrey) of Logan, Utah, daughter Lisa (Kevin) Pratt of Monroe, North Carolina, twenty five grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the Downey LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Cambridge Cemetery.
