Funeral Rites for Mrs. Chester Bolingbroke

Bishop Golden Willie presided at the funeral service Friday afternoon at the Second Ward chapel for Mrs. Marion Bolingbroke wife of Chester L. Bolingbroke who died August 15, 1950.

William G. Williams offered the prayer at the home; W. W. Thomas gave the invocation; Wm. H. Richards the benediction and Mrs. Margaret B. Laws played the prelude and postlude. The speakers were Wm. F. King, C. H. Sweeten Sr., Ralph Harding and James Vaughan. The musical numbers consisted of a vocal duet, Wanda Napier and Fay Hanson accompanied by Pauline Atkinson; vocal solo, Melvin Atkinson accompanied by Fern Willie on the violin and Pauline Atkinson on the piano; vocal quartet Joe Ward, Golden Ward, Maroni Ward, George Ward. The grave was dedicated by Melvin Moore.

Funeral Friday for Mrs. Bolingbroke

Funeral service for Mrs. Marion Smith Bolingbroke, 53, who died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1950 at the family home in Malad will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Second ward L.D.S. chapel. Bishop Golden Willie will conduct the services.

Mrs. Bolingbroke was born July 9, 1897, at Mendon, Utah, daughter of Robert and Margaret Ella Smith. On March 2, 1921, she married Karl John Nordquist. Two daughters were born to them. Mr. Nordquist died in 1924. On March 28, 1928, she was married to Chester L. Bolingbroke. This marriage was later solemnized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple.

Mrs. Bolingbroke was an active member of the L.D.S. church having served in the Malad stake Primary as president; stake secretary, counselor and teacher; M.I.A. counselor and teacher.

Surviving are her husband, three daughters and two sons, Mrs. VaLoye Moore, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Ellery Nelson, Hollywood, California; Chester Lew Bolingbroke, Australian L.D.S. mission; Cleve S. Bolingbroke and Shirley Bolingbroke, Malad; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Williams, Malad; Mrs. Norma Perry, Holbrook Idaho; two brothers Robert Smith and Jack Smith, Malad, Idaho.
