Lynn Richard Larson

Arimo….Lynn Richard Larson of Arimo, Idaho, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, at the age of 71. He died as he lived, working to provide for his family. He was born on December 13, 1940, in Logan, Utah, to Lynn Alma and Dorothy Bench Larson. Lynn grew up in Preston, Idaho and graduated from Preston High School. He then continued his education for one year at Utah State University, after which he went into the Armed Forces, where he served for 2 years.

He met his love and best friend, Betsey Jane Fredrickson, and they were married for time and all eternity on November 19, 1965, in the Logan Utah Temple.

In 1971, they moved to Arimo, where they raised their three daughters and watched their children and grand children grow.

Lynn enjoyed fishing, camping, John Wayne movies, and more than anything he loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed his two oldest grandsons, and loved taking them on the truck with him and to the car shows. He knew a little about everything, and could fix anything.

He is survived by his wife, Betsey Larson, of Arimo, his three children, Tawni King, of Weston Idaho, Tiffany (Lyle) Thurgood of Downey, Idaho, and Rebecca (Kurt) Blanchard, of Clifton, Idaho, his eleven grandchildren, his mother, Dorothy Larson, of Preston Idaho, one brother, Rodney (Linda) Larson, of Kennewick Washington, four sisters, Lynene Larson, of Preston, Idaho, Patricia (Dan) Gyllenskogg, of Smithfield, Utah, Deborah Woytko, of Logan, Utah, and Melanie (Stuart) Bastian, of Weston, Idaho: and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Lynn A., and many other friends and loved ones. We love you dad…We will miss you always..until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 8, 2012 at 12 noon in the Arimo LDS Stake Chapel, Bishop Kurtiss Smith, officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 7-8 pm at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home 570 N.
