Lupe H. Esparza

ESPARZA, LUPE H., December 12, 1895 – July 6, 1980

LAVA HOT SPRINGS – Lupe H. Esparza, 84, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amelia Kelson in Lava Hot Springs.

She was born December 12, 1895 in Mexico to Antonio and Cebina Zabala Hinojoza. As a young woman the family moved to Salt lake City, Utah where her father worked for the railroad. She married Urbano R. Esparza in 1923. He died February 7, 1950.

In 1929 she moved back to Mexico, returning to the U.S. in 1948. She was a member of the Church of jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed her family and being at home with them.

Survivors include four sons, Gilberto and Eduardo Esparza, both of Salt Lake City, UT; Alfredo Esparza, Palo Alto, CA; and Ramon Esparza, Mexico; three daughters, Mrs. Raquel Martinez and Mrs. Amelia Kelson, both of Lava Hot Springs, and Mrs. Pete (Elisa) Ozorio, Bancroft; 31 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday in the Lava LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Kenneth Andrus officiating. Burial will be in the Lava Cemetery.
