Lloyd V. Brown

Lloyd V. Brown, 86, 545 North 13 Ave., died Saturday morning Dec. 20, 1997 at a local health care center.
He was born Dec. 17, 1911 in Murray, Utah to Edward Parley and Dora Ballard Brown. He attended schools in Murray.
He married Mary Claire Foley on May 30, 1947 in Malad.
He was employed as a printing pressman in Salt Lake City, Utah, Ogden, Utah, and Pocatello, retiring in 1975.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and making jewelry.
He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, past noble grand of Portneuf Lodge No. 20 IOOF, past member of the American Institute of Plant Engineers and a member of the Southeast Gem and Mineral Society and the Portneuf Valley Photographic Society.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Pocatello, one daughter, Sandra Kay and Mike Jensen, of Pocatello; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; two brothers, Mel and Marge Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Keith and Lonnie Brown of St. George, Utah; two sisters, Grace Rancher, of Murray, Utah; and Ann and Melvin Day of Bountiful, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh and Rothwell, and one sister, LaVona.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, in the Henderson-Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave.; with Bishop Robert Bradley of the Pocatello LDS Fourth Ward conducting.
Ritualistic services will be performed by the Portneuf Lodge No. 20 IOOF. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Burial will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens; Pocatello, Memorials may be given to Friends of Hospice, 800 Yellowstone Ave. No. 19, Pocatello, Idaho 83201.
