Lissa Muller Blanchard

Lissa Muller Blanchard, 54, of Arimo Idaho passed away on Sunday March 29th, 2020 of a heart attack. She was born in Kearney, Nebraska on July 16th, 1965 to Clarence and Arlene (Parker) Muller. She was the youngest of 5 Children. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1982.

She married the love of her life, Gary Denney Blanchard, on April 29th, 1995, this year would have marked their 25th Anniversary. She and Gary raised their blended family on the Blanchard family ranch in Robin Idaho where she grew to love the life of a rancher. If you had asked her about her favorite place to be, she’d say the family ranch, it was her heaven on Earth. She loved to take drives out to the field to take dad lunch or sit at the kitchen table and watch the horses come in for water. She always said dad wouldn’t let her drive the equipment because he didn’t want to admit she was the better driver.

One of the greatest joys of mom’s life was her family, especially her 19 grandkids. She loved being a wife and mom, but being a grandma was even better. After each grandbaby was born, she hand-crocheted a special blessing blanket for them to keep and she always had sweets on hand for when the grandkids would come visit. She loved to gather everyone together, especially for the holidays. Thanksgiving was one of her favorites and she always insisted on cooking. You could always find her in the kitchen cooking or especially baking; and if you were lucky, she’d let you lick the spoon. She was the most stubborn, honest, loving and tenderhearted woman anyone would meet. She was fiercely loyal and protective. She made lasting friendships wherever she went. And if you did get the chance to meet her, you’d never forget her. Those she loved knew they were important to her. She had a fiery sense of humor with an infectious laugh that was instantly contagious. Her smile could light up a room.

Her love was unconditional, her light was unbounding, her compassion and faith unbreaking. We all miss her very much. We love you with everything we are and will always carry you in our hearts.

She is survived by her loving husband Gary Denney Blanchard and children; Jarad (Erica) Muller, Samantha (Tyler) Blanchard, Nicholas (McKenzie) Blanchard, Jennifer Blanchard, Krystal (Wayne) Madsen, Jody (Eldon) Owens, Jason (Jessica) Blanchard, Wendy Blanchard, Shane (Lisa) Blanchard. Along with 17 grandchildren, 2 (soon to be 3!) great grandchildren, her brother William Muller of Kearney and many extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Seth; and siblings Sue, Larry and Jack.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will postpone a celebration of life for Lissa to be announced later this summer. In lieu of flowers we ask that you simply spend time with those you love and hold dear your moments together.
