(May 14, 1932 – July 24, 2014) 

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend too many, Lewis Lloyd Jenkins, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 24, 2014. He was the first of five children born to Lewis & Eva Jenkins in Pleasant View, Idaho. Lloyd was raised and attended school in Malad, Idaho where he participated in football, basketball and boxing. Lloyd married the love of his life, Lois Romriell on March 12, 1952 in the Idaho Falls temple. They are the parents of four children, 2 sons and 2 daughters. He worked as a painter, rancher, and retired from Thiokol after 33 years as a lieutenant in physical security. Lloyd new the value of hard work and instilled those qualities in his family. He was well known for his good quality of chickens, pigeons, horses, and dogs. He and his wife served the Box Elder County Fair as volunteers together for 50 years. He was a High Priest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Thatcher-Penrose 1st Ward. He is survived by his wife, Lois, daughters Linda (Wayne) Earl, LouAnn (Val) Oyler. One sister Thelda (Irvin) Laws, two brothers Farrell (Bonnie) & Lynn (Bev) Jenkins, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Ilene Larsen, two sons, Lewis and Leon, and one grandson Brandon. Funeral services for Lloyd will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 12 noon, in the Thatcher-Penrose LDS chapel (11475 West 10400 North). Viewings will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Thatcher-Penrose LDS chapel and on Wednesday morning at the church prior to the funeral from 10:30 to 11:45 am. The interment will take place in the Malad Idaho cemetery. A special thanks to the CNS Hospice staff (Jason, Vicki & Shauntel) for helping us make dads last few months at home as comfortable as possible.
