Lewis Deon Christiansen

Lewis Deon Christensen, 79, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at his home in Ogden.
He was born February 20, 1929 in Samaria, Idaho, the sixth of 11 children of Arden Andrew and Hazel Elizabeth Petersen Christiansen.
Lewis married Frankie Jean Durgin in 1952 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the LDS Temple in 1995. Frankie preceded him in death on June 2, 1996.
He owned Western Junk, a salvage metal company.
Lewis collected and drove old race cars and enjoyed going to garage sales. He enjoyed going fishing in Washington and made many lifelong friends. He attended many auctions and was a buyer for Auction Houses. Lewis loved his family, all the animals around his home and especially his cats.
Surviving are his son, Richard (Nancy) Christiansen; grandsons, Chase and James Christiansen; brothers, Chris (Doris) Christiansen; Wayne (Rosie) Christiansen and his sister, Theda JoAnn (Keith) Parkinson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie, his parents, six brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment: Restlawn Cemetery, Pocatello, Idaho.
