Leslie Weeks

Leslie Weeks, 72, died on April 18th at home in Lewiston, Utah, with his family by his side. He was born January 13, 1919, in Irwin, Idaho, to Thomas Henry and Orilla Harmon Weeks. He married Doris Ethel Bench, April 26, 1939, in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. He was a farmer and did veterinary work for other farmers. He dehorned cattle and was always ready to help others. He loved horses, and enjoyed training and showing them in shows. He was proud of his dairy farm, crops, and animals. He loved going to the rodeos, he also enjoyed music and singing. He had great pride in his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.
He was a High Priest, home teacher, and served as 1st counselor in the High Priest Quorum for several years.
He is survived by his wife of Lewiston, two sons, and three daughters: Leslie (Keith) and Randa Weeks of Lewiston, Utah; Bob arid LuAnn Weeks of Weston, Idaho; Mrs. Ted (Rhea Walton) Gregory of Plain City, Utah; Mrs. Layne (Helen) Johnson of Clearfield, Utah; and Nor-ma Weeks (Braegger) of Logan, Utah.
He has 31 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a twin brother, Leland Weeks of Preston, Idaho; and one sister, Mrs. Harold (Millie) Spackman of Trenton, Utah. He was preceded in death by a son Larry and a daughter NaDean, one grandson, five sisters and four brothers.
The funeral services were held on Monday, April 22nd at 12:00 noon. Funeral services were conducted by Bishop Anthony Jon Hall of Lewiston 4th Ward. Burial was in the Lewiston City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home.
