Services Monday for Leslie Yearsley, 67
Funeral services were conducted Monday at Benson Funeral Home for Leslie Earling Yearsley, age 67, who died Dec. 14 at Valley View Rest Home, Lava Hot Springs.
Bishop Gordon Crowther officiated. Prayers were offered by Clifton E. Yearsley, Gerald Harding and Marvin Tubbs. Speakers were Bishop Duane Jensen and Golda Yearsley, who read the obituary. Special music included vocal solos, Teri Harding and Arlis Sweeten, and a vocal duet, Mrs. Sweeten and MayDell Wharton. Accompanist was Myra Jean John, who also played prelude and postlude music.
Malad Second Ward Relief Society, Mrs. Florence Hubbard, president, was in charge of the flowers.
Casket bearers were Gerald Harding, Duane Jensen, Marvin Tubbs. Dean Harding, Stanley Jensen and Earl Yearsley. Dedicatory prayer was offered by Bishop Melvin Yearsley.
Burial was in Portage City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were directed by Benson Funeral Home.
Mr. Yearsley was born April 19, 1906, at Woodruff, Idaho, a son of James Heber and Rose Howell Yearsley. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are three brothers and four sisters, Clifton E, Driggs, Idaho; Loren V., Pocatello; Mrs. Ben W. (June) Harding. Heyburn, Idaho; Mrs. Royal (Maud) Jensen, Smithfield, Utah; Mrs. James (Mary) John, Portage, Utah; Mrs. Victor (Carma) Peterson, Montour, Idaho.
