Funeral services for Leslie A. Willie scheduled Friday
Funeral services for Leslie A Willie, 69, who died Tuesday at the Oneida Hospital, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel with Bishop Conrad Alder officiating.
Mr. Willie was born Sept. 14, 1898 at Mendon, Cache County, Utah, a son of William P. and Mary Ann Hunsaker Willie.
He married Eunice Hughes, May 30, 1921. at Samaria. The marriage was solemnized May 27, 1925 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple.
Mr. Willie received his education in the Mendon schools. An active member of the L.D.S. Church, he served in the Holbrook Ward bishopric; four years as Holbrook M.I.A. counselor and was a High Priest in the Malad First Ward.
A farmer, Mr. Willie served as an Oneida County commissioner.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Willie was a member of the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post, Malad, and a member of the Veterans of World War I, Barracks No. 2408, Malad.
Survivors include his widow, Malad; three sons and four daughters, Leslie Kay Willie, Gooding; William L. Willie, Holbrook; David H. Willie, Mrs. Marion (Roberta) Price, both of Malad; Mrs. Steven (Kathryn) Jones, Soda Springs; Mrs. Loyal (Ruth) Pullum, Ogden; Mrs. Dan (Bette) Talbot, Provo; 21 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Golden A. Willie, Malad; James S. Willie, Mrs. Will (Iduma) King, both of Logan; Mrs. Ila Hoops, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Maude Hendry, Wellsville, Utah.
Friends may call at the Benson Funeral Home Thursday evening and Friday prior to the services. Burial will be in the Samaria Cemetery directed by the Benson Funeral Home.

Memorial services held Friday for Leslie A. Willie
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Malad LDS Stake Chapel for Leslie A. Willie, 69, who died August 6th at the Oneida Hospital. Bishop Conrad C. Alder of the Malad First Ward officiated.
Family prayer at the Funeral Home was offered by Golden A. Willie; invocation at the Chapel, LaMar Thomas; benediction, James G. Vaughan. Speakers were Dr. Odell Cutler, Carl Willie and Bishop Alder who gave the obituary. Musical selections included prelude and postlude music by Mrs. Mae Williams; vocal quartet, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Willie, Mr. and Mrs. Don Eliason; vocal solo, Eldon Corbridge. Accompanists were Iris Hill and Mae Williams.
Concluding services were at the Samaria Cemetery where Steven Jones offered the dedicatory prayer and military rites were conducted by the Ernest W. Jones Post of the American Legion.
Flowers were carried by the American War Mothers and Auxiliary of World War I veterans with honorary bearers being High Priests of the Malad First Ward and veterans of World War I.
Casket bearers were Max King, Arthur Smith, Tim Burnett, Sidney Palmer, Leslie Price and Danny Jonas.
