Leon Pratt

DOWNEY – Leon Pratt, 68, of Downey, passed away Monday, May 28, 2001.
He was born a son of Heber and Laura Pratt November 22, 1932, in Inkom, Idaho. Upon graduation from Downey High School, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He married Betty Lou Acord July 23, 1954. He served as a Bannock County Deputy Sheriff for almost 10 years, then moved to Lewiston, Idaho in 1965 as an owner-operator of an Amoco Oil bulk plant. In 1968 he became a claims adjuster. He moved to Downey in 1975 where he continued as a Senior claims adjuster and also farmed until he retired in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Pratt, their five children, 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his brother, Coy, and his sister, LeEtta Pratt.
Graveside service for family will be held Friday, June 1, 2001. The family will meet friends today, Thursday, May 31, 2001, at the Horsley Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Services are under the direction of the Horsley Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo.
