Leon Calvin Yearsley

Leon Calvin Yearsley, 58, of 547 Willard, and a former Downey resident, died Wednesday in the Pocatello Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 19, 1927, in Woodruff, the son of Calvin J. and Margaret A. Atkinson Yearsley. He grew up in Woodruff and Downey where he attended school.
He married Margaret A. Robinson Dec. 19, 1962, in Rexburg. They were later divorced.
He had worked for 25 years for Pacific Fruit Express in Pocatello until his retirement in 1978 due to ill health.
He enjoyed hunting, horses and gardening.
He is survived by one daughter, Teresa Haggard, Blackfoot; two grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Stanton Yearsley, Swan Lake; Lyle Yearsley, Pocatello; and Mrs. Dick (Ruth Ann) Thompson, Inkom. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vida Yearsley.
Funeral services will be held Monday at noon in the Downey LDS Second Ward chapel with Bishop Karl McQuivey officiating. Friends may call at the Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Downey City Cemetery.
