Leo Daniels Williams

Leo Daniels Williams, 88, died August 13, 1991, at the home of his son in Woods Cross.
He was born December 24, 1902, in Malad, Idaho, to John S. and Anna E. Williams. He married Marianne Pierce in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 30, 1927. They, had five sons. She preceded him in death. He later married LaPreal Liljenquist on June 27, 1966.
Leo was a faithful and active member of the LDS Church, serving as Bishop, High Council member, and in various other positions.
He spent most of his life fanning the family farm in Cherry Creek, Idaho. During this time, he served as director in the Malad Valley Creamery Association, the Farm Bureau, and the Federal Lank Bank. Later he moved to Logan, Utah, where he was employed at Grand Central/Fred Meyer. He retired in 1987 at the age of 85. He enjoyed a life-long interest in mining.
He is survived by his widow, LaPreal of Logan: his five sons Glen Lee, Woods Cross; Terrel Blair, Boise; Darl Craig, Portland, Oregon; Del Mar Pierce, Highland, Utah; and Roger John, Lindon, Utah; two stepchildren, LaRae Bartschi, Montpelier, Idaho; Robert Liljenquist, Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, John D., Ogden; two sisters, Maude Call, Malad; and Jeanette Josephson. Plymouth. He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrel.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 16, in the Logan LDS 16th Ward Meetinghouse. Interment was in the Malad Cemetery.
